Domaine de France.
The property comprises a restored 'Maison de Maitre,' a converted Quercy stone barn housing the gîtes and outbuildings set in nine acres on the edge of the medieval village of Penne d'Agenais, Lot Valley, Lot et Garonne.
The holiday accommodation has three spacious gites in the restored barn, 2 ensuite bedrooms in the main house and an 11 x 5 metre salt swimming pool.
There is a games room and about nine acres of park land, where you can see several types of birds, red squirrels and on occasion a hare and perhaps a deer.
It is a short walk to a water park that is ideal for younger children to cool off, which includes a handy place to eat. There is also a fishing lake where it is also possible to have lessons.
Local shops are just 3-4 minutes away in the car (baker, butcher, chemist, grocer, newsagent) at Porte de Penne (15-20 min walk) or at St Sylvestre, over the River Lot, which has an Intermarché, petrol, banks etc. A ten minute drive takes you to a 'centre commercial' with a Leclerc hypermarché on the edge of Villeneuve Sur Lot.
We are spoilt for choice of restaurants and cafes here. In the summer there are daily markets providing fresh produce as well as night markets where food is bought and cooked to order along with musical entertainment.
It is possible to book all the gites at the same time, accommodating a maximum of 13 people plus 2 babies or for that special event you could rent the bed and breakfast accommodation too and have sole use of all the space (we can accommodate a total of 21 people).
Please note that we do not accommodate visitors' animals.
