WINE, DINE AND RIDE IN SUNNY SOUTHERN, FRANCE

Your English equestrian hosts are offering an amazing package to include riding, wine tasting, and a French lunch and bbq.

Come and join us

Throughout the balmy autumn months of September and October when the temperatures typically reach 26c in September and 19c in October, these are the perfect months to enjoy riding through vineyards, quiet villages and having long canters in open fields.
Your accommodation will be in typical French gites converted from an 18th century barn.  All gites are fully equipped with modern day equipment to make your stay a comfortable one.  There are private terraces to enjoy the winter sun and a well-equipped games room. With your host on site living in a petite chateau offering you airport transfers and transportation to and from the riding stables and vineyard, you can ask advice as to which is the best restaurant to take an evening meal!

Vineyard

We have teamed up with a local vineyard who are happy to offer our guests the chance to taste their delicious wines – you may want to buy a bottle or two to enjoy with your bbq that we provide on a Sunday evening!

Itinerary

Your itinerary for an early Friday morning flight from Stanstead into Bergerac and returning on Monday morning looks like this:
Arrive in Bergerac at approximately 10 am (local time)
Your host will meet you at the airport and transport you, firstly to the large supermarket where you can buy your provisions, and then on to Domaine de France in the beautiful bastide town of Penne d’Agenais.
After you have settled yourself in, at about 4pm, we shall head to the riding stables where you will get acquainted with your horse and we shall have a one hour ride.
On Saturday it will be a return journey to the stables where we shall embark on a 2 hour ride, followed by a typical French lunch with a glass of wine back at Domaine de France.  We would recommend an evening meal at one of the many fine French restaurants.
Sunday will include a different route but a 2 hour ride. This afternoon we shall head off to a local vineyard for our wine tasting experience, followed by a bbq and half a bottle of wine per person (adults only). You may choose to try out your wine purchases too!
Monday morning we shall be taking you to the airport for your plane back to Standstead and saying aurevoir – until the next time!
