Where to Eat
This region has some amazing locally made produce and we are a great location to explore and taste your way through many traditional french delicacies. Wine, foi gras and Truffles are not the only produce in this area. D'agenais is renowned for its prunes and Domaine de France was once a Prune Farm. we still have many wild plumb trees on the land as well as other fruit trees.
Locally you can sample the prunes and wine at many of the farms and vineyards who will welcome you and encourage you to sample their produce. We have a wide range of organic (bio) producers in the area. The region has many small local restaurants and eateries for you to sample the good local produce as well as fine dining experiences; Within 3km of Domaine de France we have a Michelin star restaurant. For those new to France it is important to remember that lunch is an important meal of the day here in France and everything stops for lunch. The most cost effective meals are at lunchtime (by 13.00) you are given a couple of choices for each of the three courses of the menu of the day ‘Menu de Jour’ Here are but a very few of the many options for eating in our immediate area, guests have explored and enjoyed many more that cover a variety of tastes. |
