Belle Vue a Charming 2 bedroom Gite set in picturesque location.
Merci

La Petite Maison, Charming attached Cottage set in 4 hectares of grounds.

Sarah, the Host, goes out of her way to accommodate, is very welcoming, helpful, and approachable. There is stacks of opportunity to wander around the spacious grounds, with every Gite having a lovely private external seating area. The Gite I stayed in I would say offered basic amenities; everything you would need with no frills or fancy. The description and cost per night reflects this fairly. There is a great pool for a swim and relaxation which Sarah will happily open outside of usual day hours on request. The accommodation location is perfect, being close enough to both Penne D'Agenais a lovely old small town full of character with even a restaurant that caters for vegetarians! I would recommend Domaine de France on many levels, as intimated, and not least for the hospitality of the Host.
Note
Sarah, your willingness to help when requested I shall forever be grateful for. It transformed a difficult situation into an easy and very pleasant resolution. You were receptive, easy to talk to, a great conversationalist, welcoming, always with a smile. Thank you for your hospitality and support.

We had a lovely stay on our way to the South of France. The Gite is in gorgeous grounds, the pool is very well maintained and ideal for a dip after a day's exploring. There is plenty to do around the Lot river - Chateaus, canoeing, cycling, and our hosts really looked after us. The Gite has a lovely verandah perfect for an evening barbeque, and the communal games room/library meant that our kids were never at a lose end. Our hosts were attentive to our every need and look after the place well. We would definitely recommend this Gite to families and will look to stay longer next time!

The cottage was really clean and equipped with everything you need for a short stay. It is set in beautiful, peaceful grounds with access to a table in the garden for outdoor eating. It is an amazing place to relax and enjoy being in nature. The salt water swimming pool was amazing. You can easily walk up the hill from here to the local medieval village. Sarah and Paul were really welcoming. I would highly recommend!

We stayed at Paul and Sarah's place whilst in the area looking for a property to purchase. Paul and Sarah are very nice people and excellent hosts, they were very keen to ensure that our stay in one of their gites was a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The gite was clean, spacious and comfortable and equipped with all that is necessary for a pleasant stay. The site has excellent facilities with its swimming pool, games room, laundry room, covered terrace and large pleasant grounds to stroll in. We would be more than happy to spend a holiday at Paul and Sarah's place and would certainly recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting the area with its wonderful places to visit.

Bref on recommande !

Set amidst fruit trees, flowers and shady groves the Domaine de France is perfect for either a family getaway or couples break. We hired all three gites as a family group comprising 8 adults and 3 children. The site itself was perfect for our needs with a large well appointed swimming pool, excellent outdoor communal dining space and well provisioned games room. The accommodation was perfect for family groups and we made use of the bbq most nights and outdoor dining every night to have large family meals and play games as a family. You could probably have a great holiday and never leave the large grounds. However, that would mean you miss out on the excellent and varied local sites. The medieval town of Penne d’agennais itself is well worth a visit with pretty narrow streets and a stunning view across the valley. There is also the broad River Lot which you can hire a boat and lazily cruise along spotting wildlife and picnicking. Also is close proximity are charming wineries, preserved medieval fortress towns known as bastides (including some built by Richard the Lion-heart) and plenty more besides. There are also markets galore. We’d particularly recommend the nighttime Gourmet Marchand in nearby Dausse where the whole village joins together to eat, drink and dance- outsiders very welcome! We had a fantastic time and thanks must go to the superb Domaine de France hosts, Paul and Sarah who tipped us off and helped facilitate the activities listed above. They make you feel very welcome and are always on hand to offer suggestions and advice if required in a friendly unobtrusive manner. Heartily recommended.

Penne d'Agenais is a beautiful village with all the local amenities required just a 15-20 minute walk or 5-10 mins in the car. We walked to the stunning Basilica from the gite, it was a beautiful (if hard) walk up to the top and took about half an hour we did reward ourselves in one of the local restaurants by enjoying crepes for breakfast. Domain de France is a great family friendly gite complex. With 3 gites available we enjoyed time with our family and friends taking all 3 gites. The teenagers spent their time in the lovely pool or playing pool and table tennis in the games room. Our English speaking hosts were knowledgeable about places to visit and ensured we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in this charming gite which is part of a larger barn conversion. As you roll down the drive you are greeted by a beautiful house with lots of character. We visited lots of chateaux, hilltop bastide towns and regional markets whilst there for a week. We had our own garden area with outdoor furniture, barbecue and even a woodstore for the wood burner if it had been winter. The pool was gorgeous and as it was hot we had a dip each day. There are several acres of grounds to wander in with a stream running through at the bottom. We saw lots of birds including tree creepers, woodpecker and blue tits. Also a hedgehog when we walked back from one of the lovely local restaurants one night. The gite has a modern shower which worked fine, there is a well equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, microwave, oven etc. We were greeted with a lovely welcome pack including juice, milk, cheese and butter to get us going. There were also towels for pool use as well as shower towels. There is wifi and a TV for those who need their entertainment. It's a lovely quiet area with lots of agriculture and I love the sound of the cicadas in the evenings. We took a car but you can hire them locally and the River Lot and local town are a short walk or drive away. The owners are English but speak French too and couldn't do enough for us. They made us feel very welcome. We'd certainly visit again if we were in the area.

Beautiful gites in stunning surroundings.Beautiful gites in stunning surroundings near to the picture-postcard town of Penne d'Agenais.
We stayed in the spacious Belle Vue (Racachi) gite which has a cosy wood burning stove for any cold snaps and a beautiful terrace for the sunny weather. The grounds of the complex are just perfect, especially for walking around and seeing wildlife; one day we saw two deer right from the gite window!
The site has everything you could possibly need and Sarah and Paul are so kind and helpful, always available to give advice or just for a chat, yet at the same time respecting our privacy. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise, we especially enjoyed the walnuts from the tree outside.
For idyllic surroundings and excellent hosts we'd definitely recommend all to stay at Domaine de France. Thank you Paul and Sarah!
